Yeah my class is a lot more articulate, coherent in their reading fluency and more empathetic in their comprehension as well.
I did wonder if Podkin would be a bit much for them at 8-9 years old but they've hung on it and rather enjoyed the scary bits. Lots of laughter at Podkin insulting Scramashank today. It's a genuine joy to see them engage with books like this.

No this behaviour is symptomatic of this person. He's been showing a lack of empathy for years, this is just the latest example of it. That has been a deliberate and considered act to stoke division.
The behaviour adviser to the DfE posts a photo of JK Rowling on International Women's Day. I'm not okay with this and I'm not impressed that the DfE enables this kind of behaviour from its advisers. If you're involved with his organisation then presumably you don't have a problem with it.
