In exciting HVAC news the @heat-geek.bsky.social folks have gone Dutch - and hopefully Flemish too! Will be interesting to see what kind of interest they garner from installers in BE and NL.

Does it actually make sense to fund Air to Air installations? From this perspective not no..

THE NUMBERS ARE IN!
It’s been a full year since @skillbuilderuk challenged us with a heat pump system that may have proved they don’t work in UK housing stock
A typical UK property that was nearly 150 years old with uninsulated solid brick walls and a heat pump that cost a 2 x more than the boiler
When bus went up the cost to customer definitely went down..
All these reasons are simply where those without sufficient training (ie they’ve only done the current crap go training out there) have attempted and failed
It’s just their dashboard everyone uses.. search MCs dashboard
Thanks.. tbh all this lch apprenticeships etc are all bullshit. We just needed to improve the basic plumbing training program.
Installation prices without bus are here. There’s a trend going upward due to supply demand.. but costs remained relatively stable so bus went to customers.. to think installers price this way is to not understand supply/demand.
It’s the data on all MCs (ie grant) heat pump installations…. It’s an N of all of them rather than 1
I will ask about air to air but microbore is fine and you don’t need bigger radiators that won’t fit, they are myths
Increase in bus measurably reduced installation costs (more than the bus increase) as shown by the MCS data
Having had my LPG ticket I can tell you that you definitely cannot just put lug it around anywhere but this is a good one for sure!
SPEAK to GOVERNMENT about Heat Pumps!
We’re recording a podcast with Miatta Fahnbulleh, Minister for Energy Consumers (the person who can make stuff happen) who wants the top questions for Gov left in the comments..
Just comment below and we'll give you a mention!
The most efficient way to control a system is to remove them, and simply balance your system to heat up evenly.
youtu.be/zpTVIeUh04E?...
Unnecessary over control anyway!
I was interviewed but unfortunately didn’t make the edit
Done
1. A purpose made consumer series on our YouTube

2. The ‘Heat Geeks Heating Help for Homeowners’ support group where experts advise over 13k home owners. shorturl.at/ic4TR
3. A Specifically designed home owner course that we refund if you get an install shorturl.at/j13zc
Although you’re unlikely to have growth I’d advise a 60c cook followed by running all hot outlets for a few mins
I’m on @C4Gogglebox tonight!
Or you can watch the show here

It’s not an area we focus on.. We’re FCA so can’t give financial advise in that way.
By empowering their current heating engineers with the knowledge to guide them.
Oh and with a solution based mind set.

You can subscribe to Octopus Energy's Agile Octopus tariff solely for electricity import without enrolling in their export tariffs.
Wow
It’s a good point. I changed to a flexi tariff when I was receiving fit for my hydrogen fuel cell.. which was fine..
That is the point. Our training is digital. We would train them.
They do many things like that which I don’t understand I agree. Still think they’re great though
Because it’s not based on 1 bad week.
Yes but when we built the website we didn’t do it with only you in mind.. we built it based on the other 28 million homes 😂
On oil you would save WAAAAY more!! Probably about double the figures we’ve stated
It’s calculated on degree data overlayed with the specific price for that have hour.. not an average…
