Self tape instruction clearly states actor's own accent-RP in my case. Three ordinary everyday lines. OK....
On taping, appalling Bristol accent emerges from my mouth which makes me sound (and apparently look...eye rolls, blinking) like I am possessed by a demonic Wurzel.

I saw it over 30 years later at Notts Playhouse and suddenly, not having thought of it for years, remembered every word! And every prop, obviously...

Another "backstage" memory for me! First time I did proper professional ASM duties..props on The Caretaker, always playing this re-setting between shows.( then did props on so many shows with rubbish/debris on the set, the local theatre critics(my dad was one) called them "Sarah Carleton Sets".)

Halfway through January and I'm already overdrawn and have not yet dared look at my tax bill. Anyone else? (Sarah arrives on bluesky and spreads her usual positivity and cheer through the charming community, sorry).
