Portrait of woman smiling while seated, wearing a dark green blouse, with handwritten-style notes and doodles around her introducing her roles and interests. The text identifies her as an educator, writer, scholar, creator, and mom. Notes mention she is half-Mexican and half-Filipina, a high school English teacher, a PhD English student, and a self-described “professional Shakespeare nerd.” Other captions say she is a former theatre kid turned teacher and creator, writes about education, inclusivity, culture, motherhood, and running, and is raising two energetic toddlers. Additional details share that she has run 20 marathons, once taught yoga, lives on iced coffee and Bad Bunny, believes many problems are solved by a run and a nap, eats a scoop of ice cream daily, and made the image while holding a toddler and singing “Gabby’s Dollhouse.” Blue doodles and icons decorate the page over a grid-paper background

Soooo helloooooo I’m going to my first #Shax2026 and I will be/should mostly be studying for my Areas exams the week after but if you will also be there I would love to connect as I pivot into my, “I am now researching a very niche and specific interest” part of my life 😆👋🏽 #Shakespeare

Reverend Jesse Jackson is an ancestor now. The titans we studied in our history books are gone and we’re all we have left. We’re called to fight, but we’re also called to hope.

We’re our only hope.

Rest well, Reverend Jackson, and we’ll see you in the morning.

It’s LABORIOUS.

It takes so much to make going analog work AND it’s worth it. It’s shifted the foundation of my teaching practice for the better, but not without a lot of thought, research, and reflection.

I'm honored to be working with a team of volunteers to raise awareness and action around two rule changes that have been proposed by HHS that could effectively make it impossible for transgender youth in the United States to get affirming, life-saving care. Time is running out to be heard..

A most random post: does anyone have "Critical Literacy in Action: Writing Words, Changing Worlds," by Ira Shor and Caroline Pari? If so, could you send me a PDF of the introduction? I am finding it surprisingly hard to find, but need it for my upcoming PhD exams. TIA!

A group of four individuals, consisting of one man and three women, is shown standing together in what appears to be a large indoor public space, possibly a convention center or lobby. They are all looking towards the camera with pleasant expressions. Each person is wearing a lanyard around their neck. The man on the left is dressed in a grey long-sleeved top and dark pants. The woman next to him is wearing a blue jacket over a light-colored top and jeans. The third individual, a woman, is wearing a cap, glasses, a patterned shirt, and light-colored pants. The woman on the far right is dressed in a white collared shirt, an orange vest, and dark trousers. The background includes patterned carpeting, an escalator, and visible architectural elements of a large building.

They say, “Don’t meet your heroes,” but when these are your heroes, I 10/10 recommend it.

Thank you, #NCTE25, for this amazing experience. It was the inspirational, chaotic, course-correct (😆) that I deeply needed. 💕💕💕 @lyricalswordz.bsky.social @sheathescholar.bsky.social @heymrsbond.com

I did want to share that I'll be at #NCTE25 and I'm excited to share Shakespeare ideas with @ncte.org! If you'll be there, please let me know!
