I just assume that service workers are actually all paid very well in the world of WICK. No having to work multiple jobs to scrape by week to week. I bet they all make above a living wage, have full benefits, healthy savings accounts, and loads of paid personal leave time.

Never forget that while the big trades do largely stick to industry news, they are NEVER above publishing targeted puff pieces or hit pieces for the right price.
No matter how true the actual content within them is.
A reminder that THR, Variety, and Deadline are all owned by the Worst People. If you care about entertainment coverage and journalism, do not support them.

Coming to the realization that most of what was being spouted off weekly was very clearly written by those in power to help keep people in line and following ancient social norms, whether the clergyperson relaying the sayings knew it or not.

Same, with the caveat that I now subscribe to AMC+ instead. Last year, I missed the live events so regularly that it no longer made sense for me to subscribe just for access to the live channel, so I switched since the price is roughly the same and I also get some more stuff out of it.

Fun fact: when they had Jason Blum and David Gordon Green on as guests, both had originally wanted to show Universal titles.
Universal still said no, even with Blum himself directly advocating for it. They didn't budge a bit. Insta-denial.
Which is why Halloween 3 will probably never happen.
When Darcy still regularly did her podcast, JBB was on there quite a bit and they talked a lot about how the show was made, as well as issues they'd have getting certain films or problems with certain companies (namely Universal, who pretty much never licenses them anything).

Nothing wrong with that strategy, but I was speaking more to the full-on "SHUDDER IS NOW DEAD TO ME!!!" crowd that went 0 to 60 on the rage meter so fast that I don't think they bothered to fully read everything.
I'd love for him to have a bigger outlet, but I just have a hard time believing Netflix, Prime, or Paramount+ would go for it. And even if they did, I feel like the show would get canned after 2 seasons max.
I think he's better off going with ad-based outfit like Pluto, Roku, Tubi, MeTV, etc.
I actually doubt that the "live airing" component remains wherever they land up. No one else really does that, outside of YouTube.
It's likely that it ends up being just a normal streaming episode drop and Darcy & Co. simply time social media watch-parties with the drop.
