I hope I can someday say the same. I don't think I've ever had much luck in swaying opinions unfortunately.
Not saying I agree with this philosophy or that I think we can wave away Alberta as a lost cause. I'm just telling you why I think Alberta keeps voting for the cons when there is literally nothing good in it for us. Good arguments don't really win elections, as we have seen over and over.

It is such a hard wall to breakdown. You can't just present logical arguments and point out the failures of the cons and the damage they are promising to do... You have to get them to admit that something they formed their identity on is toxic.
As an Alberta, I think it's important to remember how closely so many people here tie their voting habits to who they are as people. They don't just "vote conservative", they ARE conservative.
This is the least Conservative* I’ve ever seen Edmonton’s federal voting intentions. By a wide margin. Wild.
*By “Conservative” I mean supportive of the CPC. Yes, I know that the LPC is actually conservative in their policies.
