He’s the dumb school bully, isn’t he? Despicable.
And American republicans are OK with this?

One of mine, too.
The BBC WAC Campaign's full submission to the Government's Charter Review is now online. We argue that policy changes at the Written Archives Centre fly in the face of the values at the heart of the Green Paper: trust, transparency, and the telling of stories. Read here: tinyurl.com/CharterSubmi...
This is an important thread for anyone who cares, not only about archive research, but BBC accountability.
PS if you would like to know quite how reluctant the BBC was to answer questions about the death of the public-facing catalogue, read in particular Annex A of the covering response from January: www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/draf...
Happy birthday, Vision On, 62 today! I contacted producer/director Clive Doig and "The Prof" a couple of years ago about what was easily my favourite programme as a boy. They literally do not make 'em like this any more... www.radiotimes.com/tv/entertain... @radiotimes.bsky.social
Well done, Ian.

‘All those who care about the BBC’s future should hurry and send in their response before 10 March.
Despite strong public support for the national broadcaster, you can bet battalions of enemies driven by the right will be out in force to undermine it.’

British newspaper journalism 2026:
The Daily Telegraph publishes a fabricated - ENTIRELY fabricated - story in order to pursue its fanatical defence of private education.
Always a top evening.
Italy moves toward official “beer tourism” 🍺
The "Coltiva Italia" bill introduces beer routes, tax simplifications for microbreweries and new funds for the craft beer supply chain.
If it passes it will be a major step for Italian craft beer and local economies 🇮🇹 www.pintamedicea.com/birra/2026/c...

The ITV Retro YouTube channel is building up a load of vintage content. As well as a couple of Carry On movies, there's Sapphire & Steel, The New Statesman, Timeslip, Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased), loads of Gerry Anderson and as of today, Jamie and the Magic Torch.

'Sampling' two outstanding British lagers this evening for my next Drinks Retailing reviews: a Czech dark lager and a German keller pils. More to follow once the reviews are published in a few weeks.

You'd think Harry Wilson had suddenly become very good, reading the PL-fixated football press. But Cardiff City fans remember him very fondly. This incredible hat-trick is how he signed off from City in 2020. Every one a worldy. Such a shame no one was there.

Yes, a very bright, intelligent man with a sharp sense of humour. He did a fine job as editor of What's Brewing, filling the paper with news and features supporting independent breweries. Sad to hear the news.
Keir Starmer: "We stand with Ukraine, now and always.
Slava Ukraini."
50 YEARS AGO TODAY: Rock Follies was huge, winning the drama Bafta and the Little Ladies' album going to no.1, but feels diminished these days maybe because it's barely been repeated, maybe due to the "drawn together by the power of communal song" plot.
It is a HUGE support to drop a book review, and takes so little time. Most review sites don't even require you to display your real name. Anonymous, free, beneficial: doesn't get much better than that!
Amazon, Goodreads, even Thriftbooks: it all helps! Thank you!
We're hearing that the Crown of Stadhampton has been bought by someone intending to reopen it as a pub, which is great news.
