A great weekend but has left the brain a little neuro fatigued so missed the club tonight. Did get a little bit of painting done. Didnβt quite get all the green highlights done. Just that and black to finish for the first pass

Poster for international women's day, 10% off, use code IWD. Offer ends 10th March. Only use on bad squiddo products. Cool poster of some of our art by Martin Whitmore and some painted minis.
Oi oi it's #IWD26 & I'm a woman and I make little cast metal women! Use code IWD26 in the shop to get 10% off AND write a suggestion in the order notes - most popular will get made next! Wahey!
*10% off applies to Bad Squiddo products only but you can still add backdrop books etc to the same order
A couple more highlights down from the first set of highlights. Got the paints out for the second set. Itβs great for progress to see them disappear back into the drawer as I go
A few pics from yesterdayβs Herts of Lard. Played two fantastic games AWI in the morning and Napoleonic Naval in the afternoon. Thanks @joewargamer.bsky.social

I have been impressed by the βmarine juiceβ mix despite its name. Also mixing in contrast medium with agrax to thin it. Both a little more subtle
Yeah Iβve had a couple that are better than others. This one is a lottery as to what comes out each time. If I can get by to the end of the highlights then the Windsor and Newton knocks it right back
Thatβs the agrax wash on all of these Oldhammer bits and a random BadSquiddo beaver that was mixed in. The agrax wash has a bit of gloss to it despite stirring and shaking - think Iβm putting this down to a bad pot
Base coats done on the Oldhammer bits - now onto corrections
A great game of pillage put on by my friend last night
Metals down and sand sealed
Not much time today so other than finishing the shock markers got some sand on the rest of the bases. I normally do this before spraying - but missed it for some as there was a gap in the rain for undercoating a week back. Also cleaned up some missed mould lines π¬
Shock markers of stones on bases with static flock
Finished the trial run of shock markers. Havenβt used tufts in these to try and make the rocks as clear as possible
Although Iβve done the skin base on all the fantasy battles goblins/snotlings and 40k gretchin Iβm splitting into batches for painting. These were planned for March so have a head start
3 oldhammer ogres
Wasnβt planning on painting these until March. But kind of got into them. Washes down, highlights next
Working on some shock markers for Sharp practice to replace plastic tokens and mini dice
Pond dragon with wings like a dragon fly
Got to be this very old pond dragon that I went for a nurgle look with #nerdlings #oldhammer
Thanks. Donβt zoom in on the grenadiers though π¬π€£
3 Oldhammer ogres with skin colour done using contrast paint
I use contrasts selectively. Theyβre a great tool for the right colour and miniatures. Here theyβve done a lot of heavy lifting and I think Iβll use the red to start the Chaos Ogre armour
Fed up of painting Russian green so instead a plethora of green skins
Perry Russian Napoleonic Jagers
Perry Napoleonic Russian Grenadiers
Close up of Jagers middle three stands with mounted officer
Next two Russian Battalions done. Need to find the command stand I did for the Grenadiers previously
Cheers π
Orc infantry and man mangler stone thrower line up
Orc boar boys on the flank
Snotlings make their vanguard move
Orc battle line from behind, orcs with spears and goblin archers on the left. Black orcs in the centre. Man mangler stone thrower on the right.
The orcs last night ready to battle in The Old World.
The necromancer despite being on a zombie dragon didnβt like being charged by a big unit of spear wielding orcs #oldhammer
These are from Warbases
Freed up a couple of 9L boxes with clear outs and painting. Made these whilst waiting for the tea to brew
Collection of oldhammer goblins and ogre undercoated off white ready for painting
Shock markers made from mdf circles with sand and stones added
Napoleonic Russian infantry undercoated black
Whilst doing the naps bases thought Iβd seal some of the Oldhammer stuff and some of the shock markers Iβm making. May mean the Oldhammer is next up but Iβve got the option of getting some base coats on the naps. Choices are always best, even if Iβll mainly be painting green either way
Getting the colour on the bases always make things look better. Pretty happy with the JΓ€gers but the Grenadiers arenβt the best. Think theyβll pass though once tufted up
They look great!
Tip is to keep look out for damaged ones and repair. Saved a fair bit. Just messaged you as found some more 20mm Brit ww2 pieces I can send. It wouldnβt let me attach pics
Thought this might have been a recast but no that was decades old epoxy resin under the paint. Broke one piece trying to get it apart - needed to be done as assembly wasnβt great. Now trying to fix the damage. This is my 4th pump wagon and definitely my lastβ¦ #oldhammer
On bases and sand added. Hussar assembly completed!
