And now here we are.. Trump starts a war without congressional approval or approval from the majority of Americans, but now we have to pay the full bill for whatever he decides he wants to do because it would be unpatriotic not to let Trump do whatever he wants with our money.

Every time a difficult question is asked, the sarcasm and defensive rhetoric start. You know why? They have no answers or are too dumb to articulate the plan. We are in trouble, folks.
And I am now old enough to have seen this war optimism thing multiple times. It’s like every new war must be as glorious as those wars in our history books and we must of course be on the right side, be the “good guys.” If we just believe enough it will be successful.
I am almost equally horrified by how many people are trying to find some meaning and imagining there could be some good outcome to this. Like if there is a war one must start out assuming the best of intentions in order to prove one’s patriotism.
