HA!
I missed that one and I've read just about everything. Which book? Sounds like it's from the Laundry series.

This one is a lot of fun. The audiobook was a joy and positively colored my reread of it.

Also, Monkey in a space fantasy setting!

1970 lived most of my life in the state capital and yeah, in my teens I began to understand just how awful it would be. Some days a library card is a bad thing.

I mean, I loved tacos la lengua. They were to die for.

Made my own batches for a while about 20 years ago. My brother-in-law said they tasted like his.

Now? Tongue is $8/lb.

It doesn't scale, it doesn't allow companies to offload power production as an externality for local governments. It also means they have to _pay_ for it, fuel, etc.
In short, it adds significant costs and time to creating a data center. Also, lots of pollution.

Yes, it's kind of grim (the uploaded pretty much left us to rot except as entertainment), but there's something to it that just catches me and it's what convinced me that Ferrett Steinmetz is an author I will watch.

Anyone else out there come down with not the flu, not Covid and feel like their brain could barely work after?

It's been 2 weeks since I last had symptoms and I'm finally feeling normal again.
