Hope you can help my students bridge the gap from learning to read to reading to learn. That critical stage can be supported with audio and audio/text combination books. Thanks for your help!

Paragraph from Creating. A Reading Culture by Margaret K. Merga that describes
Canβt stop thinking about this idea of orphaned responsibility of reading right around 3rd grade, exactly when state testing becomes such an intense focus. Lots if work to be done in changing this script

My third graders loved hearing this story combined with Common Sense Media lesson This Is Me. We did a quick draw of ourselves as a bird doing a favorite activity and table partners guessed. Lesson learned- take some time and think before you share! Thanks @drkmattson for the book recommendation!
I used the outcomes from the common sense media and worked with ChatGPT on how to gamify those outcomes. ChatGPT helped write the scenarios on the game cards and I used magic media in Canva for the pictures. Then I used a board game template in Canva to make the board. Hope this helps!
Using AI and Canva, I created a boardgame of scenarios for the fourth grade Our Online Tracks Common Sense Media lesson.
Phew! It was a lot of work but thanks to EMC2Learning, Canva, and ChatGPT, I created a 6 week unit for 5th graders based on the @commonsenseorg lessons. We will be battling the evil Glitchmaster and six of his devious plans, culminating with a fun STEM activity (boss battle anyone?). Wish us luck!
Took some time to begin a course with @meethinks Always feel so inspired by EMC2 Learning.
With the help of ChatGPT and Canva, I created a board game for my kinders. Hope they like it!
Exact same.

Me: yes
Student: how is that possible?
