I (a long haired white guy in a wax jacket and blue jeans) am walking a black Lab/Clooie mix young dog. The dog's attention is on me with her tail wagging. We're in a grassy feild in the fog.

It was the first session of a new session of Lanntair's training courses today. The weather wasn't very appealing, but she was a very good girl and did really well with her field work. #DogsOfBluesky

I've just bought a new spray-on keyboard in a can!

It's qwerty.

TRAINSPOTTING was released 30 years ago today. Acclaimed as one of the great British movies and a generation-defining piece of pop culture, the behind-the-scenes story is as lacking in moral fibre as you’d probably expect…

Unrelated to anything else going on in the world, I found these birds spaced so evenly on a streetlamp particularly pleasing

Also, your website mentioned the old app should be available for those not wishing to take part in the beta testing of the new app, but this doesn't seem to be the case in the play store. Please can this be rectified?

Frustratingly, the recently reintroduced widget seems to be broken. Also, when recently trying to deal with flooding, I wanted to see how close I was the the end of the rain. Being greeted by the attached screenshot when trying to open the radar wasn't particularly helpful.

They look very similar to the rear light seals on my (similar age) E46 3-Series. No great surprise there. However when I tried to change the seals, the lights were split between the lenses and the reflectors for about a third of the way round the join. Hope you don't have a similar problem.

Wow, that was depressing watching. I had already become uneasy about the quantity of gambling ads on YouTube, I hadn't realised quite the scale of the issue.

Two black dogs looking intensely at the camera (I was eating a sandwich at the time) the young one in the foreground is sleek and shiny, while the older dog in the background is very fluffy. The latter has a big smile and a grey nose.

A few more photos of our little Lanntair (and a bonus one of Coco). She's suddenly turned into a handsome little #dog and is coming along leaps and bounds. 6 months old this weekend! Including a very rare shot of her asleep on my lap (which she hardly ever does). #DogsOfBluesky

That link says I should still be able to get the old version of the app. However both options give me version 3.0.10.0.

Has an update got pushed to the main app that shouldn't have been?

Could you just give us access back to the old one, please?

Is there any way to go back to the old one?

The loss of the desktop widget is a massive drawback to me, if it's gone permenantly, I'd like to revert; otherwise I'll be looking for an alternative source of forecast.

I seem to have been somewhat lax in posting out new family member. It's been a bit manic in the few weeks since we've had her, not helped by a bout of the lurg. So Bluesky meet Lanntair, a #Collie #Labrador cross. Her name means light or lantern in #Gàidhlig (Scotts' Gaelic). #DogsOfBluesky

Bad Keyboards Thread:

So I like to make intentionally bad keyboards, in part because of my unfulfilled blood feud with mechanical keyboard enthusiasts, but mainly because I like being a chaos gremlin.

Most recently, the Juggling Keyboard:

Sure sex is good but have you been for a bike ride with strangers and have them spontaneously tell you how cool your new bike looks?

Doesn't look much lik An Lanntair to me. It's not raining for a start ;-)

Sorry to hear things are bad. The black dog can be cruel sometimes. Hopefully what you're seeing are small steps to things improving.

Phew, I thought 5pn would be ok to work in the garden. It wasn't, I nearly melted.

Still at least the leeks have their long-overdue home.

My gravel bike leaning against the sea wall. The sunshine contrasts with puddles on the ground and the rough sea with waves hitting the big rocks of the sea defences.

So my #GravelBike ride to Screwfix after the rains had passed was a bit mistimed. It poured for most of the way there and I was soaked and miserable by the time I got there. But the sun came out and I had a tailwind for the homeward leg.

Have taken the dog for a walk. Got to shelter in the pub serving fruit cider and Gyros just asghe showers turned into pouring. I may be here a while.

Oh yeah, the rules are clear here (and unfair) but with an open question it wasn't clear what the "correct" answer was. From what I hear, recruiting is awful these days. Too many people using automated tools to apply for thousands of I'll suited jobs drown out the decent candidates.

I was discussing a job ad with a question "Did you use any form of generative AI in making this application?" I am fairly sure that the correct answer is "No" but at some point I suspect that will very suddenly switch and answering no will be akin to having typed your application on a typewriter.

Unfortunately, I fear that despite high hopes, the current government have done little to dispel the "they're all the same" narrative.

A stressful journey home, a summary in three pictures. While on a trip, my car sprung a coolant leak the evening before our early ferry home. We managed to get the leaking hose to hold together which got us to the ferry and to the dealer for a replacement. Bleeding a hot radiator in a car park sucks
