Hereditary Peers Bill passes in House of Lords, paving the way for further reform The Hereditary Peers Bill has passed in the House of Lords in one of the biggest reforms to Parliament and UK democracy in a generation.

And it is done. Who your dad is no longer gives you a guaranteed say on the law of the land. We have tonight done what so many Labour people have sought to do throughout our history: no more hereditary peers

I picked up hand sewing and I'm learning that I need to re-take kindergarten because I can't draw/cut a straight line πŸ˜‚ Still, I'm pretty proud of how it's coming along and how much I've cut out of my screen time. 🧡πŸͺ‘

LET'S NOT PLAY FRISBEE WITH THAT POET ANYMORE.

[This is a comic strip, with a poem laid over it. On each panel a new line of the poem is written. The scene is a park, in the summer. A man in a trenchcoat - implicitly Philip Larkin - stands folorn, motionless, looking at people throwing a frisbee. It becomes apparent as the comic progresses that they are trying to play frisbee with him. He stand stock still for the whole comic, watching the frisbee as, panel by panel it soars closer and closer to him].

After contemplating the approaching frisbee for two silent panels, Philip begins his thoughts:

Unloosed, unheralded,
You soar toward me
Across the dying afternoon.

bright disc of childhood,
Long since thrown wide
Of Youth's green imaginings,

Your slow declining arc
Figures a sky-written truth:
We will all succumb, and soon

To earth's hard oblivion.

[The frisbee hits Philip on the head with a resounding DONK. He falls backwards, to the ground.

[Ends]

According to second son who follows this stuff, the "goalie", Kinsky, was "subbed" after 17 minutes after causing two goals.

The judge even took time as the beginning to be like "if you lie on the stand, you can be prosecuted for perjury" which is not something that you need to tell an Assistant US Attorney

Renfer: this was not a major motion such as summary judgment, it was a routine filing

Judge: that makes it all the more outrageous that you resorted to an AI tool and didn't check after it

Renfer: the document I filed was intended to be a draft. Once I came back from my vacation I did the final document.

Judge: you're going to have to walk me through that. I understand the meaning of the words you are saying but it doesn't make any sense.
