Shooting people in the face is a bit over zealous, yes. I would describe it differently. In fact I would call it cold blooded murder of innocent people operating well within their civil rights and their grounded expectations of treatment by law enforcement. But that's me.

The stink such a threat exudes imbeds itself in the very cells of every potential victim of any kind of violent sexual assault. They never get over it.

You just have to let that happen somewhere, with cops/courts/culture influencers normalizing it. The actual act isn't even necessary to continue the misogyny culture.

I had to show a photo ID (regular driver's license) along with my insurance card recently as part of my check-in at a hospital, but otherwise I've never had to show it for anything medical.

It should not be hard, unless you are female and have been married and divorced/widowed and changed your name a few times. Or if you are old or poor with lousy internet skills or bad eyesight. You will need marriage/divorce/death(?) certs, maybe fr/multiple states. Bring time and $$.
