Groomers and abusers groom EVERYBODY around them. They depend on that circle of respectable folks to pipe up with "Well I never saw/heard/was treated badly" when less powerful or respected people try to speak up.
Also, absolutely none of that is an excuse for any these people.
Not just you. I'd been able to stop my blood pressure med, but then had to go back on it because *gestures wildly* was just too much anxiety and stress.
Finding tiny moments of joy is absolutely what fuels my ability to continue to speak out on things that I believe are wrong. I'm so grateful to you and the other game designers and artists who help me do that.

This is exactly why I have joined Patreons and put money into PayPal and Kofi tip jars for years. I can't do much, but I do what I can to help people making art to keep making it. It's absolutely essential to being fully human to create and to appreciate art of all kinds.
I had one in the 60s, and back when we had 100W incandescent light bulbs you really could bake little pans of cake and brownies, and it didn't take very long.
My dad, bless him, ate everything I baked, told me it was good, and asked for more. 💜
