Any ideas on how we should celebrate 2000 stories on InkFoundry?
The InkFoundry crest which represents the genres of the story it is assigned to. The historical crest has feathered wings worked into the usual octopus/tentacle design.
Mini update! Historical Fiction has been added to the genre-crest! I know Iβm stretching a bit, but itβs wings full ofβ¦ quills. Which are at least a little more historical than pens πΆ
I realized I never added my Very Short Stories to my @inkfoundry.bsky.social page. Now they're there (well, pending; they'll appear soon), so if you're looking for a few 200-word stories, well, enjoy.
(My personal fav among them is "The Trick", though "Eating Everything There Ever Was" is fun too.)

Hurhurhur... stonks.
Or bots... but I hope it's not bots.
I freaking LOVE this feature!!
I donβt think itβd change except that I could silently and more actively help other people when I see needs on here π itβs so frustrating being limited by financial stress
Iβd also still post many cat pictures tho
I'm working on a personalized Newsletter that will showcase monthly highlights and send you stories from authors, tags, and publishers you follow. I'm taking suggestions for anything else potential recipients would like to recieve in an inbox on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis.
Absolutely fuck yes
A blue shading to purple card with a picture of Fiona Moore at the centre and three pictures, of a miniature cabinet, a cat and some flatbread with eggs, at the bottom. The text outlines my recent work which you can find at www.adoctorofmanythings.com or by following @drfionamoore on social media.
Updated my calling card again.
If they're going to insist on "cozy horror" I think we need to start demanding "harrowing romance." Shit that is horny but will also desecrate your soul. Not dark romance I'm talking about a new and more upsetting thing.

Fed up with your world? Visit ours. Picture of the Clarkesworld robot looking over at the cover of our February issue. That cover features a robot looking out at the sea while standing on the beach with their hands clasped behind their back. The water comes gently towards their feet. Peaceful ocean and sky. A contemplative moment of peace. Cover art by Matt Dixon.
It's time for your periodic reminder that we count on subscriptions to keep the lights on.

Thank you.
In this haunting Nebula nominee, a battle-scarred interplanetary exorcist hunts ghosts across hostile world until one possession exposes a secret powerful enough to erase the rules that keep the dead contained.

THE LIBRARY
N.B. Andersen
I really loved this sweet short story about a robot librarian dutifully serving the small town library, years after it's been looted and emptied. Trust me, it's more hopeful than that sounds.

Happy Thursday-Friday, everyone! Get your card catalogues ready, because this week our Escape Pod Original is "The Library" by N.B. Andersen. And who doesn't love libraries?
I'm starting the move from discord to fluxer. I know it sucks to get yet another social media platform, but protect yourself, protect your data.
There's only one issue out, but I love the mission statement and the passion for quality work and community support! Authors and readers, go check it out!

YESSSSS!!! YOU WIN THE GRAND PRIZE! IF is a.... _speculative_ fiction site π You are the first to tell me you got there. Usually its been me nudging my friends and suggestively repeating "'if'... 'speculative'...'if'... eh? Get it?" at my friends
And then they groan, the unappreciative heathens π€£
Also, I'm glad you enjoyed my little story. It owes quite a lot to the "industrialized Faerie" tales of @michaelswanwick.bsky.social (who just this week released a new collection of short fiction, q.v.).
They all piqued my interest! The "PokΓ©mon go" catalogue is a tab open in my browser right now π
I know I'm responsible for some of those tags.
For example, "a country now gone", "manitoba" (not the same thing), "watch the moon", "faun", "pokemon go", and "long-distance telephone call", among others.
Right??? "nobody grieves the man in the wood chipper" is definitely on my to-read list π€£
A list of new tags from inkfoundry.net, including "prank phone call" "watch the moon" and "mourning bad parents"
The new tags on inkfoundry give me such unbelievable joy.
Post Author submitted "A Short Biography of a Conscious Chair" at InkFoundry!
No tags needed. I am instantly intrigued.
Be like Michael.
*Slurp slurp* delicious stories. No worries! I'm so excited to see these stories! Thank you for adding them!
Confirmed! I would rather shred the website than use it to exploit, hurt, or diminish anyone :) and if anyone wants to read some feel-the-good-rage 'fuck the current fuckery', check out these amazing free-to-read short stories: inkfoundry.net/directory/ce...
Screenshot of the Nebulas Recommended Reading List page, showing: Montroy, Michael Yuya "Blight" Moon, Richard H "To Conquer Death" (that one is MINE) Moore, Fiona "Comparing Colonialisms in Dn Simmons' The Terror and its AMC Adaptation" Morris, Stephanie Malia "The Island with the Animals"
I know we've all got a lot of issues with everyone and everything, but my book is on the Nebulas Recommended Reading List and that's pretty boss, actually.
