Different regional taste is a good thing! It's OK to not like another regions food and to not know much about it as a result! But don't confidentlu insist on factual matters about a food from another region that you have limited knowledge about.
This isn't going anywhere helpful. When I point out that you were mixing up brands and incorrect about how our mayo could be made at home, you shift the goalposts to vague regional animosity. If I don't like another regions food, I don't go tell those people what's really in it or make fun of them.
Carolinas are all about Duke's. Not Miracle Whip. It's OK to like or dislike whatever but you are getting this blowback because you're making factual assertions about another region's food that are just incorrect.
Just took a trip to my fridge. Feel like I'm going crazy here. Nutrition info also says 0 carbs. Duke's is "real" mayo, as far as that goes for still being a processed food.
Duke's is not particularly sweet. And with egg prices idk how the cost would shake out. It's certainly more convenient to buy a product already made to your liking, and dismaying that private equity is probably going to ruin that product to try to make it appeal to a broader audience.
