It’s 2025 + the world is very different now but the message is still true. Every time you see this mural, pls take it as a reminder to look out for others and not just yourself bc the reality is, we need each other. We have to work together. And we truly are better and stronger together. Thank you.

And tbh, I struggle with this so much. It’s hard to keep up and it feels so heavy. But if we stop tuning in and become apathetic, we make it that much harder to protect each other and thrive together.

The figures at the base, holding all that weight, represent us. Every vote we cast, every action we overlook or commit to, every dollar we spend—it all builds up or lets down future generations and marginalized communities.

Seeing so many vids + articles about Asian elders—ppl who look + sound like my own family—getting attacked really impacted me. So I took that energy + turned it into smthng meaningful.

I designed chars carrying kids on their backs, who are, in turn, carrying their own animals—a tiger + a panther.

I was hired to create a mural in response to the rise of Asian hate during the peak of the pandemic. I took a digital hiatus around that time so I never really got to post about it, but I recently gave the mural a fresh coat of paint + a nice redesign, so here it is~

I made this the other night while procrastinating, mainly because I thought all the posts about the blackout were boring. It feels like there is momentum bringing people together!
