Thinking back 6 yrs ago. I’d just been in the hospital for 3 weeks (6 weeks over the previous 14 months). I was on so many immunosuppressants that every time the kids got the sniffles I got very sick. I’d been shocked so many times my PM/ICD had only 3 months of battery left
All of that sucked…
And that was before the lockdown.
A few days in to the lockdown I went for the procedure to replace my PM/ICD; the hospital was almost entirely empty (they had cancelled all elective procedures). They hadn’t started getting COVID patients (or maybe 1 or 2) but they were prepping for it…
Day of the lockdown my wife rushed to the library & checked out about 50 kids books. He had crap weather & were stuck inside a 1,300 sq ft apartment. From me being in the hospital & then the pandemic the kids were traumatized
I could go on about how it sucked

As a country we have made a lot of mistakes in foreign wars over the last 2+ centuries. But I’m not sure we have ever looked as feckless, foolish, incompetent and ridiculous at the leadership level than right now.
