I agree that that’s unfair. My dtr used emergency healthcare in Aus and also things like physiotherapy and gp visits and Rx. Ins covered everything. She had surgery and was able to see an ENT and receive the surgery within less than a week. It cost $3500 but was reimbursed through travel insurance.

When my daughter was on a working holiday in Australia, she had to buy her own travel insurance. I think I’m OK with this.
