free range slacks would be perfect but the fabric is a mini gingham and i don't want to pattern match all those side panels. maybe i need to pattern hack.

i want flowy, but not too flowy (not the freys or june), not a full barrel leg (not bob or arthur), no side panel (not free range), not tapered (no arden or fremantle).

i am sewing a pair of trousers and completely ignored the materials list after checking if i had enough fabric. every step feels like a surprise about what notion I am going to need to find. i found the right size button, i found the right size elastic. will i find a hook and eye closure? stay tuned

trying more new combinations: the dress over pants. not sure how I feel about it. I wore a lot of dresses over pants 20 years ago and it was not a good look.

progress! I think I have 2.5 pages of the pattern left (it's 6 pages total). I bought the last 4 hanks of white floss at the big box store on Sunday, so hopefully that is enough to finish it? I'm not optimistic that it is enough.
