Tell EPA to be quicker with pesticide suspensions! | Pesticide Action & Agroecology Network (PAN) Join us in telling EPA that the emergency suspension of DCPA should not be an exceptional act. Instead, pesticide registration procedures should seek to protect the public first rather than cater to Big Ag’s bottom line.

One way to shepherd agroecology forward would be for more nations to adopt The Precautionary Principle into legislation or policymaking. The Precautionary Principle encourages more research prior to chemicals being approved for sale and use, and would result in removal if risk of harm is shown.

It is becoming accepted that agroecology is a path forward that could help us mitigate climate change, but agroecology must include a #JustTransition for farmers and farmworkers! Farmers and farmworkers must be engaged in the co-creation of a more just and sustainable future for agriculture.

The principles of agroecology help cultivate rich biodiverse soil while conventional, high-input monoculture forms of agriculture are notorious for stripping the soil of life and nutrients. And biodiverse soil is better at capturing carbon, meaning it can help us stop climate chaos. #climatechange

Unused urban spaces disparaged by the powerful as β€œwastelands” were, in reality, areas where working-class and poor communities used gardening to build self-sustaining livelihoods.

#FoodSovereignty is the right of people to define their own food systems, returning and redistributing control of food production to local communities. People should have the power to grow, share, and eat food on their own terms. Food sovereignty shouldn't feel radical. It should be the default.
