My phone might not be doing a good job of showing the colour of the leaves but it is gorgeous in Brave Battle Saga!
The pixel artwork is incredibly detailed! I appreciate being able to save at any point outside of battle and being healed at level up.
Finally playing Legend of the Magic Warror: Brave Battle Saga which has been published by @pixelheart-eu.bsky.social
Game 16 finished and itβs Metal Gear Solid 4 on the PS3! I started the series with Ghost Babel on the GameBoy Color a very long time ago and all thatβs left now is 5. I donβt want to spoil anything in case people will play it for the first time with the remaster but itβs a game you need to play!
Game 15 beaten and itβs God Medicine on the GameBoy! A Japanese exclusive RPG but has a fan translation. A simple RPG but excellently made. Travel between modern day Japan and a fantasy world to stop a demon king from taking over. Combat is turned based with random encounters along βMaphusβ.
Game 14 finished and itβs Hybrid Heaven on the N64! A surprisingly deep wrestling RPG set in a secret underground facility. The environments have a great visual style but are a bit repetitive and sparse. If you want to grind it gets very repetitive but itβs also a Christmas game!
Game 13 beaten and itβs 3 Ninjaβs Kick Back on the Mega CD! As film tie in games goes itβs surprisingly good. It has levels that go on too long and youβll definitely want to play on easy so you get unlimited continues and makes no change to difficulty. Three characters to pick and a nice soundtrack!
Can you give some examples as that sounds interesting!

Well done all!
Game 12 finished and itβs Red Dead Revolver on the Xbox! Lots of character and great visual/audio design! Sadly the difficulty can be all over the place at times but still an enjoyable game and worth a try!
@segamaniamagazine.bsky.social look what arrived this morning π
Issue 10 begins. Time to start reviewing the next batch of games.
All ordered copies of Sega Mania Issue 9 have finally left Mania HQ. We have a limited number of copies left for purchase.

Game 11 beaten and itβs Whiplash on the Xbox! A mascot platformer with some problems of the era like camera and level design. It overstayed its welcome when they made you revisit all of the previous areas to find keycards but no additional abilities to speed up the journey. Enjoyable, a 7/10 game!
Are you enjoying it though?
Game 10 finished and it's Blue Estate on the PC! An on rails shooter based off of a comic I believe. The levels are surprisingly long which last 20-30 minutes and there are seven of them. Some dark humour but a lot of fun to play!
I played this back over Christmas 2024 and really enjoyed it. I like that they tried something new whilst keeping the charm of the original!
Got a new #homebrew project for you all by
"OldPirate11", who just released 2 WIP screenshots from his early alpha port of "Kula World" for #Sega 32X
The original #PS1 game might not be the most
polygon-intensive game, which might make this a feasible endeavour

Game 9 beaten and it's 8-Bit Adventures 1: The Forgotten Journey on the PC! An 8 bit style retro RPG with plenty of charm and uses a rock/paper/scissors magic/combat system. Doesn't do anything revolutionary but was fun for the 10ish hours I played it. Plus some cool nods as well!
Game 8 finished and itβs My Friendly Little Island on the GameBoy Color. A homebrew game that was originally made for a Game Jam I think. Can be beaten in under an hour but involves you moving around your island, eating coconuts to upgrade your moves and help out visitors find things.
Game 7 beaten and itβs Holy Magic Century aka Quest 64 on the N64! Not one I ever planned to play until posts on here made me finally decide to play it. An interesting combat system and 3D world but no side content outside of one hidden pyramid. I did feel like I went on an epic quest though!
@quest64official.bsky.social 25 days later and itβs the beginning of the end!
Game 6 finished and it's A Normal Lost Phone on the PC! A narrative game presented as a smart phone that lets you read through the texts but you need to then work out the passwords to unlock the story of the owner and the struggles they have been going through.
Game 5 beaten and it's The Saboteur on the PC! Probably the best way to describe it is GTA by way of Assasin's Creed set in WWII occupied Paris. A lot of fun and a great setting, definitely worth playing!
Game 4 finished and itβs Metal Wolf Chaos on the Xbox! A balls to the wall mech game brought to us by From Software before they made Demon Souls. Originally a Japanese exclusive but the remake has now been brought West. The voice acting is something else! Definitely worth a try!
Game 3 beaten and the first of my 10 pledge games which is No One Lives Forever 2 on the PC. Better then the first game and also gives you the choice to use points earned to improve various stats of our heroine Cate Archer. A classic FPS with witty humour and setting, hopefully the rights get sorted
A snap of our cover, with a PC-98 image of a blonde anime girl wearing a red wizards hat and a snazzy 80s-ey jacket, halter top, and mini skirt, and holding a magical staff.
Hey peeps! Those who have followed me for a while will remember that I put out a regular digi-zine until depression and some other issues bit hard in August.
Well, a new issue is finally out, our 34th. And it's free-to-everyone to download and read.

There are 10 games Iβve pledged to beat this year including the Master Quest version of Zelda Ocarina of Time on the GameCube!
Game 2 done and it is Sheepy A Short Adventure on the PC. As the title implies a short game, a gorgeous platformer that can be beaten in an hour with secrets to be found. It's free as well!
