This impβs response tells you just how much the Trump administration cares about casualties. Not a jot.

@lmbd1418.bsky.social read an interesting passage in this book. A woman in a highly dangerous situation finds solace and comfort in caring for her donkey. She does get away with her donkey. Very touching.
#OnThisDay in β91 Ayrton Senna won at Phoenix in the new McLaren MP4/6, one of my favourite #F1 cars: high-revving 3.5-litre non-turbo V12; 6-speed manual βbox; big front & rear wings but no other wings; fat slicks; brilliant, iconic but simple livery; oh... & it sounded awesome!
For people who donβt take allegations of violence against women seriously:
I visited a few years ago, very interesting.

A question for gamers and for those who know the industry. I hate multiplayer games. There is nothing in them for meβ¦and yet this is pretty much all that is offered on consoles nowβ¦games for 12 year olds when there are plenty of folks with a lot more Β£/$ whoβd like something different Iβm sureβ¦ππ€·ββοΈ
Thrilled to have been awarded a Vandervort prize for my recent article "The Invention of the Kamikaze: Dissent and Resistance in the Japanese Military" by the Society for Military History, as one of the two best articles last year in the Journal of Military History!
It was my pleasure. Introduced me to host of characters I would encounter in further reading.
Is there such a thing as a good and reasonably up to date book about vehicles that have been used by the UN. In fact, I donβt think Iβve ever even seen a book about the history of the UN per seβ¦anyone read a good one?
@andreawulf.bsky.social many thanks for Magnificent Rebels, fantastic book.
Thoroughly enjoyed the pod. The problem with WSC and India is nuance; public doesnβt like nuance. I bought Walterβs book Douglas Haig: Architect of Victory in 2006. As I recall a good book and refreshing change from βBlackadderβ caricature.

The key message here is the total collapse of my ambition to buy fewer books in 2026. 2
Picked these up today. The Deserters is Booker long list nominated and it intrigued me. Alone In Berlin was on impulse. Mind you I do think it might have been recorded by Katja Hoyer a wee while ago. 1
