Is this something? Dylan McKay is Diet Vanilla Ice
Is this something? Dylan McKay is Diet Vanilla Ice
If a movie goes from Stephen King cameo > ATM calling someone an a$$hole > AC/DC song... automatic masterpiece. Not even necessary for a vending machine to kill a little leaguer.
I went from Hollywood Squares to Hee-Haw to Beverly Hills 90210.... I'm obviously going through some stuff....give me space. Thanks.
Yes, adore the trilogy!!
On original post, differing opinions are great! Listen I'm GenX, I shouldn't have this opinion. But I'm genuine when I say I believe the Fast lore is fantastic. I gave up pretension in favor of joy years ago. Different strokes!
Would be cool to see him join Mayer, Oteil, Jeff for an occasional tour in future years.
All good!!
Been on this app for a bit now and this is my first time encountering the inexplicably bitter that was so prevalent on that other app. Maybe I've just been lucky.
Regardless, Happy New Year!
The overall lore of the Fast & Furious franchise is more compelling than that of the Star Wars franchise
I watched these initially as "bad" Xmas movies but actually enjoyed them. The Lawrence brothers should make at least one new one per year.
Slightly but perfectly buzzed. Fire roaring. Snowing outside. Black Christmas playing. Cozy and fine. Happy Saturday everyone! #horror #horrorfam
Jaws, Halloween (78), Friday the 13th Part II, Sleepaway Camp, Black Christmas
Made like 45yrs ago and I still frequently say "Atta girl" because of it
Psycho: Original
Halloween: Homage
Scream: Satire
Scary Movie: Parody
To celebrate Halloween, post an iconic horror movie character
"The only thing I can't stand is their gibberish... how they keep ranting on and on."
"You haven't anything to worry about. He hasn't spoken a word in fifteen years."
"Oh, cool. Yep, nothing to worry about then."
It's been over 40yrs and E.T. is still one of the most believable/interesting aliens I've seen on film.
A back-to-back that made me think of @danharmon.bsky.social ... Monopoly Man followed by evil waiter
Maybe if you're out on some rickety boat hunting a giant killer great white, you shouldn't stay up all night getting hammered and singing sea shanties
The 78 og is one of my favorite films oat. But I enjoyed the RZ films. Lower on my list of franchise but still. Didn't care so much for origin story but it was fine...just prefer no stated origin. But screw it, let everyone take a swing.
Haven't seen it but I will now... thanks!
David Johnsson blew me away in The Long Walk.... amazing performance!!
Not sure we owned that one but it was on cable stations a lot at one point so I saw it quite a few times
For the GenX or older...name a movie you watched a boatload - not because you necessarily loved it but because it was one of the few your family had on VHS when you were growing up.
Me: Toy Soldiers
So wait....were we supposed to believe that Jason turned on the music and lights to freak out the girl before killing her on the dance floor?

1989? I was 12.
Mission Improbable: But Turns Out Very Possible
Would be hard to find better examples of Betteridge's law of headlines
Subtitle reads: contemplative funk music
Subtitle reads: gloomy synth music
who knew that going back and watching the pilot episode of Greatest American Hero would give me so many music playlist ideas
Girlfriend is Better gets my motor revving. Best synthesis of Talking heads imo.
