A 2-page lavish color 1908 political cartoon from Puck with the caption, "WHY NOT GO THE LIMIT? For the benefit of those ladies who ask the right to smoke in public." The scene shows a bar with ads, spittoons and signs about spitting, sports news, etc. All of the patrons are well-dressed women, of all ages, and women are working behind the bar as well, mixing drinks. Almost all of the women are smoking. Two small children are looking up at one seated woman who is at a table with a card game, she is looking back at them crossly. It's clear that the artist intended this to be an exaggerated dystopian scene, with the prospect of women behaving the way that men did at bars being horrific, but to modern audiences it looks like a great time.
Happy International Women's Day to this 1908 political cartoon satirizing women who just wanted the right to smoke in public by asking "Why not go to the limit?" and showing women of all ages having a great time at a bar smoking, drinking, gambling, snacking, tending bar, neglecting children, etc.

its more of a between the lines thing where its not immediately noticable even to the video op but can become problematic ig
i guess, ppl really like conquest and overcoming big things but. this way of stuff still frames everyone else outside the main group as inherently unreliable and bad, even if it still building up a community of people
ik its sensationalism and telling big stories and ppl having egos but why would you want to have war and take over in a sandbox game with renewable sources and not just work together

today is a horrible day for my vintage story playthough right after surviving winter and having a great time
or like lay out boundaries and whatnot
just because its the internet, doesn't mean you can't lay out rules and set warnings and then block someone if they don't comply with that.
i remember someones quote to someone saying pls don't say weird stuff to my posts and it was kinda negative to that and i want to let you know you can set boundaries and stuff.
