Yeah sorta on par with that but I think with a lot more of the racism making it into pop culture. There was a white stand up comic whose whole schtick was doing puppets and he had a racist charicature "terrorist" puppet. He did a gross little accent and everything. It wasn't even controversial.

The radio show I contribute to is a leftist radio program. We have a recurring segment called “The F Word.” The F word is fascism. We’ve been doing this segment, grounded in how leftists were recognizing American fascism for generations, for a decade. It’s only new to liberals, hate to say.

It's such an obviously good idea. The fact that it isn't implemented says a lot about the U.S. and its policy priorities.

I just find it interesting how even folks who consider ourselves leftists will bend over backwards to find reasons to excuse or justify evil behavior by white men, be it for Zionism or imperialism or bigotry. We say they're compromised, being blackmailed, being coerced by someone else.

That makes sense to me. Like, ttrpg's had a less-entrenched industry and as WotC has lost the audience, a beautiful array of indie ttrpg's have sprung up in their place and now we live in a golden age of ttrpgs.

Harm Reduction is a term specifically for measures taken to systemically ensure the safety and health of hard drug users. It is a good thing and an important thing and I don't like when people appropriate its use for vote-begging.

Yeah, I'm sure it's a mixed bag. They couldn't have appropriated the term from nowhere so some of them must have had enough adjacency to people doing the real Harm Reduction work that they must also support it, but many would not.

YES. The corporations have learned that people are too scared or busy to do maintenance and repair and so they've been able to foist planned obsolescence off on us. I know people whose car's ECU died only a couple years after they bought it brand new. That's unacceptable.

Yep. They've already appropriated "Harm Reduction" to mean voting, which is fucked up because that's a term people originated for programs for the health of drug users.
