Yup. That's how I described it in my video on it. It feels more like an arena shooter where you come out with legitimate rewards for doing well. I love that in an era of boring progression in most mainstream shooters.

It's painfully obvious the difference between constructive feedback and people just trolling online.

I’d say the user reviews are probably more important than critics on this one.
Really surprised at how much I’ve come around on Marathon since having little interest in it before the server slam.
Like the quickness of the matches, the art is great, shooting is as good as ever.
Just a good game.
