➡️ They require a specific mens rea element, which is mostly intent - Art 30.
➡️ Be careful (!) with accusations of #Genocide! - Art 6.

All those who wonder why some States at the #UNGA voted against a ceasefire resolution. 🇨🇦unsuccessfully proposed an amendment that would have explicitly condemned #Hamas. Some States voted against the resolution to express their dissatisfaction that the amendment didn’t pass. 🇦🇹
