Curiously, heart rate is down by 10 points this morning. I don’t know if that’s because I’m just waking up, or if it’s permanent.

I asked if the Upper Chesapeake ER was suitable - they said yes.
Bad mistake. After 6 hours of repetitive testing, the only way we kept them from keeping me was to discharge against medical advice, even though we stated that we would be going to the cardiac surgical follow up today.

The doctor said I could discontinue the IV antibiotic (yay) but was quite perturbed over the high heart rate. In fact, recommended we go to the ER to try and bypass the appointment time for the regular cardiologist.

So, yesterday was a comedy of errors. We went to the follow up appointment for infectious disease, in a clinic full of people of color. Many of the staff were quite solicitous of me, keeping me close at the check in etc. (Eye roll)
