This will be my second to last post on the SAMMI drama.
I've been getting DMs about the situation again recently, and they are not good ones. DMs claiming that I was the reason SAMMI fell apart, and that I should've never left the team and this would've never happened.

I've actually been working on it shortly after I left the SAMMI team, as I had so much I wanted to do for SAMMI but ultimately things kept getting in the way.

Just so everyone that's moving away from SAMMI knows; Streamerbot allows the same AI slop in their plugins that SAMMI now allows so if that was your sole reason for dropping SAMMI, don't expect sanctuary over there

If there is any good for me to glean from today, it's that the SAMMI community is incredibly strong, and very supportive of true, authentic creators.
And that fills my heart with hope.

I know there's a lot of stuff going around atm because of the shit show today but as someone close to the former dev team and as a former mod in the server, I can assure you that the oauth tokens are only ever stored on your pc as of 2025.2.0 update (can't comment after that)

Honestly, after getting banned during this, I can't say that I want to go back to anything involving SAMMI and I don't think the old devs do either. I'll be waiting for a better opportunity to arise where I can provide my efforts and be respected by all team members ☺️

I'm posting this as a response to the Discord server being locked down, which means there's no further engagement to be had with the cruxes of the issues at-hand.
This situation is still ongoing so I'll likely have some amended statements at some point
Fuck him and his ridiculous grandstanding, his doubling down, his utter dismissal of myself and the other admins that left, fuck AI and fuck monopolies.
Banned and all my messages deleted. After over a year of hard work and hundreds of help threads in the discord resolved. All my contributions mean nothing to Chrizzz and I feel utterly betrayed by his decision to ban me. I have been mostly civil during this debacle but honestly now, fuck Chrizzz.
I was subsequently banned by Chrizzz for calling out his policy changes, and making an innocuous comment that his policy of not approving extensions because he wants to maintain a monopoly on them and only cares when the extensions concern him and his own extensions, 'reeks'.
After the docs were released, and an @everyone tag was made, the discord erupted. The ensuing chaos was never my intention but I am so glad it brought the community's feelings to light.
community had a right to know. There have been too many coverups in private surrounding Chrizzz taking over as sole dev. Everyone should be able to make an informed decision.
As a final note on the SAMMI situation.
I put so many hours into this program, not just supporting people in the discord but also releasing useful extensions to the community. It was a difficult decision to release the information myself and the former admin team did today but I felt that the

Very sympathetic to my friends whose streams benefit from or depend on SAMMI, but the timeline of their dork founder coming back saying "I'm going to save this doomed project... with AI!" only for the entire dev team to quit and everybody dropping it is, separate from everything, extremely funny.

Chrizz, now the sole developer of SAMMI, saying: I want to clarify some things and I apologize ahead of time if this sounds rude. It's still work in the progress but since people seem to have complaints about allowing AI in SAMMI. AI has always been a thing in SAMMIs source code itself. SAMMI is a tool that allows the users to do whatever they want with it. The change the previous DEV Team made about forbidding AI art will be reverted, but there will be the necessity to let people know if you use AI art. I also will revert some other changes like the extension policy. Why am I doing this? It's easy, because every person should be able to decide on their own if they want to use AI or not as well as if they want to support AI. If you can not respect this decission, it's ok. Everyone can have their own oppinion about this and if your oppinion is different, feel free to no longer support or use SAMMI.
Chrizz, now the sole developer of SAMMI, saying: since things are getting way more out of hand now, please read this and if you don't wanna use SAMMI when it allows AI and uses AI in the source code, please leave the server instead of getting rude in the lobby
If you use or were considering using SAMMI, switch to a different program.
The new sole developer is extremely pro-AI, has already started using it in the code, and is in support of its use for genAI images as well. Everyone who protested this was told to leave the server and stop using SAMMI.

Due to these changes & various other things I quit the moderation team in the SAMMI discord and my fellow admins have also quit today. I encourage anyone familiar with SAMMI to read these documents, form your own conclusions and consider whether you still want to keep using SAMMI
