Does anyone else who works in a #hospital suffer from fry envy?
I unsuspectingly walk into an elevator and I'm hit with the overwhelming smell of french fries before I see a kid
with a McDonald's bag.
I can't concentrate the rest of the day until I get some of my own.
Aunt, speaking to a palliative doctor, fellow, and social worker: "I know you're doctors, but you're like psychologists too!"
This is what #transdisciplinary care looks like and I love it 💖
I wish we could erase "in denial" from the vocabulary we use to describe families.
Maybe they wish things were different. Maybe they hope for a miracle. Maybe they accept what is to come but aren't ready to talk about it. Probably all of these.
