🚨 New in EJE! We present the 1st oral copeptin test using urea — a simple, safe alternative to hypertonic saline for polyuria-polydipsia syndrome.
📈 Copeptin ≥3.5 pmol/L at 120 min: >90% sensitivity/specificity for AVP deficiency vs. primary polydipsia.

💡 Does arginine stimulate vasopressin via urea?
✅ Urea increased after arginine.
✅ Copeptin increased in healthy adults & primary polydipsia, but not in AVP deficiency.
❌ Urea & copeptin correlation? Weak.
