This 2026 remix is way, way worse than 2003 or 1991. Or 1987 if you want to include Black Monday and various Reagan-era shenanigans (which were also pretty damn bad). Zero attempt for a pretext or even the veneer of one this time....
During my prep for Social Development, I forgot that I had this meme on the slide about siblings. I'm not sure how my own siblings should view this--I'm guessing my older brother would claim he would be winning. I doubt many students would get this Highlander reference, but I'm keeping it in.
I won't be at #SPSP2026 this year, but I hope y'all have a great conference in Chicago!

The new #Scrubs reboot brought me so much joy this evening. If you're a fan of the original show, then you should enjoy it. Same vibe, but the characters reflect how their lives have changed in the past 15 years. I guess it's also weird for me to go from student to mentor perspective with this, too.
Exciting news! We just posted an opening for a Survey Associate on @pewresearch.org's Methods team! This is an amazing opportunity for someone relatively early in their career to join what is, IMO, the most fun methods team in the business. Full description at the link below.

It is amazing how that works! I'm glad that the admin hasn't bothered to hire psychologists who can help explain human behavior to them....
This is too real. When I cover it in class, I feel that parts of it are like giving a recap of some TV drama....
Excellent! No notes. π
It was a brief part of the opening ceremony. In the 70s, he made a song to mimic U.S. pop music but didn't know English. So the song is what English sounded like to him. I learned about it from this podcast (slow start, main discussion 19 min. in.): www.omnibusproject.com/episodes/pri...
I totally did not expect this Italian song during the Opening Ceremony. For those who don't know, it was meant to mimic English, but the words are all nonsense. youtu.be/RObuKTeHoxo?...
Agreed! And for me, it was a wonderful bookend to "The Visitor."
