Digital illustration of a dense cluster of high rise buildings as seen from street level, like a tiny ant among towering trees. There ware gangways and balconies spanning the distance, making the city resemble a tangled thicket. It's dark here at the bottom, but a mile above the sky is white and blinding.
If you blur your eyes just right, you can pretend it's the sun on your face.
digital ink illustration. A character wearing a knit hat with pom poms faces the camera, eyes hard. The POV character is pressing a gun against his forehead. The character facing the camera is saying "You should know that won't kill me."

I really enjoyed Mannix's "The Fox and the Hound," though I'll warn you it's pretty heavy. O'Brien's "Mrs Frisby" is great. London is controversial but both "Call of the Wild" and "White Fang" are quintessential xenofiction to me.
I grew up going on yearly class field trips there. It's an incredible place.
NO.
What really f's me up is that a maker to have even the slimmest chance of success must constantly subject themselves to the machine and bend to its whims. The alternative is languishing in obscurity.
On a rainy forest road, a hooded figure strides towards the viewer, gesturing casually with her hand. Behind her looms an enormous four-legged creature, bear-like, with softly luminous eyes.
"Hello there, do you know the way to Widewater? Oh, don't mind my companion. He's just shy."
Movie youβve watched more than six times with a gif. Hard mode: no Stars (Wars nor Trek), LOTR, or Marvel, Disney Animated or Pixar.
The gigantic skull of some humanoid creature lays in the falling snow. A pine tree grows from its parted jaws, and a fox-like creature has taken up residence in its eye socket.
The Long Wintersleep
painting of a fox in cold autumn woods. She is silhouetted against the forest haze, turning back to look at the viewer over her shoulder. The first snowflakes of winter are falling gently down.
she won't wait for you
This may be true, but I like seeing artists I follow grow and change too! New adventures and all.
I think taking little breaks is normal and healthy, even if it's a bit uncomfortable at times. That's been my experience, anyway. I usually come back with renewed interest and life experience.
hnnng I've been meaning to pick watercolors back up. It was my favorite medium in high school.
I used to be worried about this kind of thing, but it turns out you can do whatever you want forever π
(Illustration of scene from The Moth and the Bear 1) βAre you done?β Kaelin asked. Ruyakβs eyes snapped to hers, and all at once he was pure rage again. He bared his sword-like fangs and snarled, then smacked the waterβs surface with his hands. Kaelin looked Ruyak in the eye and stood her ground. He did it again, everything closer and louder and harder. Kaelinβs injured leg buckled and she nearly collapsed into the water, but determination kept her on her feet.
the torrent
drawing of Ruyak (giant bear-sphinx) and Kaelin (human) sleeping/snuggling. Kaelin is being smushed in Ruyak's hand and her leg is sticking out between his fingers, but she's unbothered. Ruyak's face is squished against said hand and the back of his other arm. Morning light is just barely touching the scene.

Brittle star swimming! Love this movement.
Three sketches of Ruyak the Kanai drawn in a cutesy style: One where he is sitting and smiling at the camera, one where he is yelling and upset, and one where he's blushing and touching his cheek like he's embarrassed.
bear in mind
Illustration of a character sitting precariously on a balcony railing in a futuristic city filled with towering high rises. The light from below is an eerie green, catching on the character's features. She has dreads and casual street clothes, and is looking into the middle distance with a thoughtful expression.
βIn school kids used to say if you dropped something from high enough, itβd bust right through to the underground. If the teachers heard you saying that stuff, you got sent to the guidance room for 'telling lies.'β
I've gotten them occasionally. Maybe once a year? No idea why. Never seems to be linked to any specific problems, just a whoopsie of some sort.
Illustration of a snow-leopard sphinx character, laying sprawled atop an old stone archway. The sky behind her is purple with twilight, and an old broken lantern hangs from the arch's pinnacle. The sphinx looks relaxed, and she has a cool, knowing smirk on her lips as she looks down on the viewer.
I've been waiting...
I've had a piebald carolina wren visiting mine alongside the chickadees and it's so enchanting

I've been listening to the Scavengers Reign soundtrack obsessively for weeks. It's soooooo good π§β¨οΈ
That's alright, I can appreciate where it comes from. Next time leave a review or smth maybe? This just makes me feel sad and tired.
Some paintings
*sigh* so this person does seem like... well, is definitely a kid. So there's not much worth doing besides gently asking them not to do this stuff. I'm not even 100% I know what they have going on? I can't find the place where you got that screenshot. So idk what to do really.
EW WHAT THE FUCK???
digital painting depicting a dragon perched on the top of a broken tree in the sunset light. The dragon holds a small lantern in its jaws, glowing yellow and attracting small insects.
