Reminds me a lot of the discourse around promising young woman
Like I just think it looks annoying. I don’t even think it looks like the worst thing ever just not for me and the “if you hate this you just hate women” discourse does not make it seem less annoying
This is a clear diploma mill ploy likely to increase enrollment by promising it won’t take that long or cost that much. Feel awful for anyone who gets tricked by this.
And as other ppl have pointed out, med school is already deeply exhausting esp for residential programs. So this is basically just working students even more to death
On top of just wanting that extra year for assurance, accelerated degree paths just burn the fuck out of students and I personally think doctors who hold people’s lives in their hands would be more capable if they weren’t coming off of sleepless nights just to get closer to the scalpel
When the media finds out a shooter even stood next to a video game once 10 years ago they make a big deal about it.

I was genuinely surprised by it esp since a good amount of it is with the president character which is part of what defenders praise it for including (even though it’s pretty explicit that she’s far from a lovable girlboss)

Oh yeah and esp with the policing of social media, similar to how a lot of teachers and librarians have been targeted by conservative parents online for daring to have pro diversity posters in their classrooms
