If you’re venturing out to see Captain America: Brave New World, as I have just done, you have some homework to do. You need to have watch the TV show “Falcon and the Winter Soldier” and movies, “The Eternals” and “The Incredible Hulk (the one with Ed Norton)” or you might be totally lost.

Don’t let anyone spoil the movie, “Companion” for you. The less you know, the better your experience will be.

“Emilia Perez” and “Wicked” are two musicals that could not be more different from each other. Both films were hyped as diverse tales of female empowerment.

That is not the case. One of these films is a flimsy fantasy and the other is “Wicked.”

Months before it hit theaters, I had to sign an NDA before seeing a test screening of the movie “Amsterdam” and after I watched it, my first thought was the studio really should make audiences sign an NDA after seeing it.

Before we dive fully into the tired discussion of what movies will win trophies, #Didi and #StrangeDarling are the only films this year that have genuinely surprised me with how very good they are. Not overhyped or written about ad nauseam but true discoveries that linger long after the they end.

Watching dummies cry because they “researched” after they voted and are shocked to be firmly in the “find out” phase is just the lubricant I need to get me to the midterms.
