Except Harris is not more qualified. You may prefer her qualifications. That is your right as a voter. Someone else may prefer Trump’s. I don’t have to agree with that voter and I don’t. But Trump is as qualified as any American to be president. He’s over the age of 35 and he won the election.

Absolutely. If you don’t care for a candidates positions by all means don’t vote for them. I’m arguing that this bullshit about his background and qualifications is not relevant. There are no qualifications to run for office other than get votes.

It’s a god damned democracy. There are no qualifications to run for senate. All you need to do is convince people to vote for you because you will actually represent their interests. Which Platner is doing. All this whining is some un-American elitist bullshit.

Ryan Grim has interviewed Platner. And he’s pretty well known for his obsessive fact checking. As for Platner, he’s going to win. If Democrats don’t like that they should have run someone who isn’t approaching 80 for a six year senate term.

The whole point of a democracy is that ANYONE can run for office. In fact any ordinary person representing their constituents is the preferred outcome. Not only do they not have to be Ivy league grads, lawyers or career politicians they specifically should NOT be.
