I agree - watching 5 beautiful greenfinch in a weeping willow was wonderfully absorbing and calming.

I have a male goldeneye duck and some guillemots - one with the bridle eye marking, something I only recently learned about

They have a little bit of orange on the lower beak. You can’t really see it in the photos but I could see it very clearly looking at the bird. The males have a totally black beak

Out of the corner of my eye I saw a bird fly by and when I looked it was a female kingfisher on our mooring lines. Grabbed phone for a photo through the Perspex door. Really cheered up my rainy day stuck in the boat. #hertsbirds
