11. Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds
If you told me at the beginning of the year a new Mario Kart game was coming out, that I’d not like it, and that Sonic’s racer would quickly become one of my favorites in the genre, I would’ve laughed my ass off.
I’m so, SO happy to be wrong.

10. Pac-Man World 2
The camera is horrible and the non-platforming levels made me reconsider why I like 100%ing games again, but at the end of the day the actual platformer here is surprisingly well-designed and quite fun. Just don’t bother with collecting stuff.
Recommended: …wait for the remake
9. Kirby and the Forgotten Land - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World
The game name is longer than the DLC itself. Still, it’s quite fun. I’d get the expansion if you plan on replaying this game entirely; the 60fps boost does make it feel much nicer to play.
Recommended: Sure
8. Kirby Air Ride
Never grew up with this so this was my first time dabbling with it myself outside of friend gatherings. Was surprised by how fast races get. It's a lot of fun! I can see why everyone's so excited for Kirby Air Riders.
Recommended: Yes (though it's best enjoyed with friends)

Kanga Clanga Badnik from Sonic Superstars. He is cute and orange, with a lovable blank eyed expression.
Kanga Clanga Badnik, as it appears in a 2.5D prototype Evening Star worked on after Sonic Mania. It is balancing on its tail and kicking forward with its springy roo feet! Sonic is knocked to the left with significant kinetic force.

It is now the 8th anniversary of Mania so time to dig up some Sonic trivia... This year, it's Kanga Clanga! (aka the Kangus). This lovable robo-roo originally lived in the outback but now entertains us all in Pinball Carnival Zone!

7. Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution
Questionable marketing choices from WayForward aside, the game itself is pretty cool. It feels like Risky’s Revenge, but a bit snappier… which makes sense since this is that game’s prequel. Glad I got to play it a tiny bit early on GBA.
