Great news: the High Court has granted permission for a full judicial review of the government's order proscribing Palestine Action under the Terrorism Act.
Let's hope he government's idiotic and draconian order is overturned.

“We cannot have nuclear proliferation” says Foreign Secretary. Yet recent Govt decision to upgrade UK’s own nuclear weapons is precisely nuclear proliferation. Breaking terms of non proliferation treaty ourselves means we have no moral authority to tell others not to do the same #bbcr4today

We know Nicola Sturgeon will stand down next year. But don't write her off just yet | Libby Brooks For all the challenges, flaws and failures, there was a symbolism to her tenure that still engages the public and inspires younger activists, says Guardian writer Libby Brooks

In Israel, dread and rage haunt the streets. Netanyahu is exploiting that | Jonathan Freedland When I visited Israel this week, it seemed time had stood still since 7 October. I saw pain and grief, but little sign of hope, says Guardian columnist Jonathan Freedland

Assisted Dying: If the aim of the Committee stage is - as has been repeatedly claimed - to ensure that the UK ends up with the safest possible legislation, then how is the bias inherent in this witness list possibly conducive to that end?

#HeathrowExpansion won’t deliver growth. Business demand is falling & more tourists leave than arrive. But it *will* trash climate commitments, drive more extreme weather, noise & air pollution & only benefit frequent flying super-emitters - the 15% who take 75% of flights. Labour should be better

Opinion | The Guardian Latest opinion, analysis and discussion from the Guardian. CP Scott: "Comment is free, but facts are sacred"

Might be one of the most important, urgent things I've ever written: 50% of social care spending is on disabled people, but that part of the mounting care crisis is completely ignored www.theguardian.com/uk/commentis...

Brilliant article, as always. We have a 40yr old vulnerable daughter with a leaning disability happily supported in the community in her own tenacy with a support package. The road has been long and tough achieving this for her as an adult but worth it.
