The diagnosis is propofol frenzy (aka propofol neuroexcitation).
The hallmarks are:
- Development when propofol sedation is wearing off
- Impaired consciousness
- Violent motor activity
This will usually be misdiagnosed initially as a seizure.
The key clue is context & knowledge of the syndrome
I think that makes for the perfect storm. It is daunting.
My question is: are PAs liable for their decisions in patient care? In our case, when RN "accepted" more responsibility (for example preventive exams), they do not want or need to take responsibility for their decisions, consulting GPs all the time and thus burdening them even more.
We have been on strike for nearly 1 year now in Slovenia. In reality, the MD strike is heavily regulated. The only thing we can actually do is not work for more than 48 hour/week. NHS MO seems like something our government and NHS might use. 1/

What I miss @bsky.app is the "bookmark" icon for posts. This is how I usually mark interesting papers and articles to read later, when I have more time.
Does anyone have a suggestion on how to go about it?
