This clay has been in storage, first time I’ve used it. Loving the texture created by the sand and grog getting dragged during trimming.

Some of the steps in my process of making a gaiwan:

1. Leather hard, still on bats after trimming the outside walls and lid edges/fit.

2. Greenware (after all trimming is finished and clay is bone dry)

3. Bisqueware (after bisque firing, ready for glaze)

4. Finished product, after glaze firing.
