Brendan Carr is threatening the media to cover the war the way the Trump regime wants. It’s one of the most anti-American messages ever posted by a government official.

I'm sorry ma'am, but your son perished on Kharg Island in a valiant effort to create Wii Bowling meme videos for the White House X account. In the face of danger, he was not cringe; he was based to his last breath. Please have this commemorative Epic Fury challenge coin. Yes that's Punisher, ma'am

I thought it was our founding principles, our diversity, our adherence to the rule of law and our love of freedom but okay…

Unfortunately, the quantity of Democrats in the state legislature willing to even just call them out on this stuff - nevermind actually challenge any of it - is ..... very low ..... so on and on it goes, completely ignored by the media and unknown to voters. :-\

Question of the Speaker, April 9 2021
Question of the Speaker, April 9 2021 YouTube video by Tim Smith

Its not the first time they've done this. They did it once during Covid (when I was still in the House), and I called the speaker out for it. They use rigging the schedule as a tactic, knowing nobody can stop them.

DOJ nopes out of Ticketmaster antitrust suit Trump gets donations, you get surcharges.

"Trump gets donations, you get massive Ticketmaster surcharges β€” service fees, platinum fees, per-order fees, payment processing fees, facility fees, magical money-sh*tting unicorn fees β€” on top of already sky-high ticket prices." β€” @lizdye.bsky.social

Next time this happens ... or even still this time, since its still recent ... can you follow-up to "released a comment condemning" with "Ok, you've condemned it - now what are you going to DO about it in terms of tangible consequences?".. if it was a Dem, at a minimum he'd pull them from committee.

One of my annual predictions in January for 2026 was that "AI" will be directly responsible for at least one Human death, outside of military applications. Each passing day it looks like its another step closer to coming true.

This seems like the sort of thing thats complicated enough where it ought to be covered in detailed statute, rather than broad constitutional, language. Like - the right to hunt and fish /what/, exactly? Where? .....

Why doesn't your coverage of this contain any background about how she has absolutely zero qualifications or credentials for this posting, beyond just shared ideological alignment with the White House? She is DEEPLY unqualified, and shame on you for not mentioning it at all in your reporting.

Just to be clear, exactly zero people are "demanding to impose Sharia Law in America" ... but a large chunk of the Speaker's own caucus want to impose their warped interpretation of Christian theology as the law of the land ....

I think this story is a really good example for people to look at when it comes to understanding bias at NYT. It's not that the reporter, Dana Rubinstein, says anything outright false. But the framing, word choices, etc., add up to an unprofessional and biased account.

He can. He'll do what he want, even if its illegal. A few blue state AG's will sue to stop him, but it'll take too long to get through the courts and the damage will already be done by the time it gets to SCOTUS - who will probably rule in his favor anyway. :-\

that is - the types of info needed to **prove** lineage to some legal standard, beyond just being able to infer from family bible notes, newspaper clippings, personal letters, etc.

10.03.2026 16:36 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

proving such things can be difficult .. one of my uncles traced a line of our family back about 800 years, but finding the types of info needed (birth/death certs from the 1800s and older, etc) can be quite a challenge.

They're SO shocked that their policies have led to a growing number of poor people who need to use the public defender, that - just like UI benefits - they're now looking for new ways to disqualify people instead of addressing the root causes.

Senior Iranian cleric suggests Khamenei's hardline son to be supreme leader "The name of Khamenei will continue," said a member of the clerical council charged with electing a new leader, as the U.S. and Israeli conflict with Iran widened.

The successor to the late Ayatollah Ali Khamenei will be his son, Mojtaba Khamenei, according to a senior Iranian cleric:

β€œThe name of Khamenei will continue.”

Mojtaba Khamenei is considered MORE hardline than his late father.
