I'm not qualified enough to answer that, I don't work in politics. Whatever the solution is, we need to make sure that we stick to our Canadian values . Strong, efficient and financially responsible social programs that allow everyone to contribute is a big part of those values
Well the Liberals are divided and they need someone who can at least unite the party. I mean financial stability seems to be the pressing issue and Carney has that leadership experience, just not sure if that experience translates.
I agree with all your points. However, I feel like he didn't go about tackling those issues in the most effective way.
No I don't think we'll regret his loss. He was a needed change at the start of his term, unfortunately he didn't have the vision that canada needed long term. He was more social justice warrior than a political leader. The mess we are in kind of proves that.
Bad NDP leadership and bad policies. When Liberals are doing poorly, I "throw away my vote" by voting NDP, knowing full well they will never lead the country - nor should they. If NDP ever had a chance to win during a Liberal downturn, I would just not vote at all.
If it's anything like what happened in Ontario, we're going to be in for a very long and corrupt ride
Too late IMO. The party's reputation can't be repaired in time for the next election no matter who is elected Liberal leader. Let's not forget there seems to be a large enough number of people in the party who just a few months ago still thought keeping him in power was a good idea.
As someone who votes liberal - I can't say I disagree with the sentiment. This party has focused on the wrong things over the last 8 years and doubled down on them.
