We could at least start with enforcing the 25mph speed limit. One of the reasons it’s challenging to turn left is because people are coming down at like 40mph.

I am about to go down the historical rabbit hole of garbage versus trash.

My mom is from Jamaica Plain, but yes this is how she described it! And the city came and picked it up once a week. But not on trash day. There was a garbage guy and a trash guy. I wonder when they stopped doing this.

So my mom (who is in her seventies) just told me that growing up they had a pail in a hole in the yard that they put food waste into and that was called the garbage. And the trash was all other waste. How am I learning this for the first time and is this why it’s called a garbage disposal?!
