I'm happy to hear that. There are a lot of tribes in Washington State. It would be an honor & a blessing to incorporate some of our culture into the beautiful design of our state flag.

Huckleberries.

Imagery: Cedar trees, salmon, Sasquatch, cedar canoes, mountains, Pacific Ocean, orcas, Puget Sound. Rivers. Long House.

I know we can't include all of those images on the flag, but, those are extremely important to our Coast Salish People of Washington State.

Maybe if we hadn't lied about who Washington was we would have ended prison labor!

I learned that George Washington was so lazy he couldn't even shoot a hole in his own hat to make it look like he had a close call.

When designing my flag, I thought of:

> the value of uphill battles, just to do it all again because that is how life works

> colors of fauna, flora, and Earth of the State

> how we all can come to fit together not just in spite of our unique shape, but because of it

And much more! Dig deep!

Mom chiming in here to remind everyone that part of the divide in our State is from East to West. I would love if we could all think of the other side as we consider imagery and symbolism.

We can come up with something truly great to #WashOutWashington 🧽🧼✨ if we put our minds to it.
