sway just didnt give me a image preview during my install but yeah looking at it its probably a 2nd or third choice, i have no idea about compatibility issues i'd find yet

nah i just installed catchyos and its one of the base options along with those

chat hyprland sounds like it breaks a lot but the previews make it look like the prettiest desktop environment do i get it or am i too stupid for it.......

yea catchyos is the one i wanted to try mainly i think, but yeah i didnt even know my laptop itself had secureboot on until i tried to install it to that just now

ooh i guess there are some and this problem's more with certain ones but the certain ones is the distro i want.....

tho also just learned i can't even install it with secure boot on but disabling it and reenabling it has the possibility to lock me out of being able to boot into my win drive without reformatting/reinstalling so I guess i can't even use linx on my desktop unless i fully ditched windows rip

i think the most common thing i see is about it being 'too stable' that it gets outdated quickly and uses x11 vs wayland, i havent rly looked into that specifically much though

i have mint debian on the laptop but in the wild randomly it feels like i see a lot more hate for mint that it makes me kinda wanna try a different/newer distro
