Does anyone here in Bluesky know people who are part of the Queer Liberation March in NYC? Or, anyone who might have contacts with people involved in it?
If yes, please send me a private message!

A review of our book by Manish Oza at Notre Dame Philosophical Reviews
There has been a scary increase of racist and xenophobic verbal and physical attacks, racist graffiti and other forms of xenophobic vandalism in York over the last month, in connection with the Operation Raise the Colour.
This must stop! If you are in York, do join the rally on the 4th October!
Really look forward to this semesterβs workshop in political theory!
This is a fantastic opportunity to receive feedback on a book manuscript!
Apply and/or widely circulate!

I'm very proud to have organised this letter with @alasianuti.bsky.social - my understanding is it was discussed at a reasonably high level in the Labour party

How can political philosophers do public engagement in an effective way?
Thanks to @polphilpod.bsky.social to explain that to political theorists at York today!
Read this fantastic paper!!
Thank you again to @alasianuti.bsky.social, everyone who signed, & everyone who helped by circulating it

UPDATE: my open letter against Starmer's anti-immigrant policies has now passed 200 UK politics academics signing
A week ago there was an open letter signed by politics researchers urging Keir Starmer to abandon his proposed anti-immigrant policies. With the support of the organizers, I've created the same petition but open to all academics.
Read and sign the letter here: molliegerver.weebly.com/petition.html.
175 - I'll publish a revised list Monday with everyone who signed over the weekend
The link is doing the rounds, but if you haven't seen it & want to be added, DM (or email) me or @alasianuti.bsky.social
Very happy for you to create something broader from our open letter. We restricted to academics βexpertsβ of politics, but no reason to add other similar initiatives!
Our open letter has been covered in @scotnational.bsky.social

Was my pleasure to comment on our efforts to the press with @alasianuti.bsky.social , hopefully we represented the signatories well,

Over 100 of my UK-based colleagues signed it. Read the whole thing here:
