It was a pleasure to join local residents celebrating Holi, the vibrant Hindu festival of colours, at events in Beddington Park and Manor Park.
Wonderful to see our community coming together in such a joyful way.

Iβll keep pressing the case for St Helier with the Minister and working with the local NHS to secure the funding we need.
Iβll keep everyone updated and will share a clip of the full debate in the next few days.
Iβve just come out of my debate in Parliament where I pressed the Health Minister on the need for an A&E extension at St Helier Hospital.
She said a fund will be made available to upgrade A&Es across the country, which is encouraging for our campaign.
Nothing Rachel Reeves announced today in her Spring Statement will be felt by people in the real world. Families still feel just as squeezed this year as they did last year.
I asked the Chancellor directly: when will people actually feel things getting more affordable?
I recently wrote in the Sutton Guardian about our campaign to extend St Helierβs A&E department β and why it matters so much for local patients and NHS staff
On Wednesday, Iβll be raising this directly with the Health Minister to press for urgent action

BREAKING: I've secured a debate in Parliament next week on NHS spending.
I'll be making the case for expanding St Helier's A&E directly to the Health Minister.
The system has changed so much from the time it was introduced, itβs about time Parliament debated it properly.
The Labour Government's freeze on student loan repayment thresholds will hit graduates hard, whilst high interest rates mean that most of their debt is growing faster than they can pay it off.
The last time council housing was built at mass scale, we didnβt rely on private developers to deliver them.
It is time to allow councils to borrow to build a new generation of social homes. They pay for themselves over the long run.
I'm calling on the Government to back the project.

Did you know there's a small infrastructure project in Croydon that could unlock better train services for our whole borough?
The proposed Croydon Area Remodelling Scheme (CARS) would be a game changer for the capacity, frequency and reliability of train services in Carshalton & Wallington.
The Environment Agency is failing our area.
β One year on from the Wandle Diesel Spill, the EA has still held nobody to account.
β Despite objections from me and Sutton Council, the EA still says it may approve incinerator expansion.
I asked the Labour Government: what is going on?

St Helier Hospitalβs A&E is at breaking point. Patients treated in corridors, staff stretched to the limit β enough is enough.
With our new hospital building delayed for years by the Government, we need action now. Weβre calling for one urgent, realistic step: extend St Helierβs A&E immediately.
(2/2) By ignoring this the Government are once again choosing to side with the industry over consumers and taxpayers, just as they have done throughout the motor finance scandal.
Iβm working in Parliament to close this loophole and make sure big banks pay their fair share.
We hear from ministers over and over again about tough economic choices, but when big banks avoid Β£2bn in tax through a loophole, they refuse to take action. (1/2)

At the end of April, I will be abseiling 125ft down the front of St Helier Hospital to raise money for the Epsom & St Helier Hospitals Charity!

Residents have reported to me an environmental disaster on the Wandle today.
A major diesel spillage has left wildlife covered and caused untold damage to the waterway.
I'm in touch with the Environment Agency and will make sure those responsible are held to account.
Yesterday we learned that some government departments havenβt even started their zero-based spendingΒ reviews.
I raised with the Justice Secretary the shocking state of our prisons, where an independent report described conditions at this prisonΒ asΒ inhumane.
